Hardship Fund: (Countywide) – all tenures of property

Funds the cost of essential works for those on low income, including but not limited to:

• Home Safety assessment
• Falls prevention
• Home security
• Home safety including smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors
• Electrical works
• Plumbing works
• Lighting
• Keysafes
• Putting up curtains/rails/blins
• Lightbulbs
• Replacement toilet seats

Replacement boiler Scheme: (Countywide) – private homeowners only

We can refer to a nationally funded replacement boiler scheme. Client’s boiler must not be in a ‘no heat’ situation to be eligible.. Note this scheme will close in May and re-open in September.

West Northants Energy Advice Service: (West Northants only) – all tenures of property

Provides a home energy assessment with advice on how to save energy/use heating controls. Identifies where energy related home improvements are needed and funds the cost of these improvements. Works may be small or large and include:-

• LED light bulbs, radiator foils, chimney balloons, draught exclusion to doors and windows
• Window repairs including ironmongery, replacement sealed units
• Window replacement
• Door repairs and replacement
• Heating improvements including TRVs, room thermostats, programmers, replacement radiators etc
• Gas safety checks
• Gas boiler repairs
• Dealing with mould
• Replacement boilers through emergency fund element of scheme
