Duston is an English civil parish within the ceremonial county of Northamptonshire.
Duston Parish Council consists of 12 elected councillors who serve for a four year term.
The Parish Office is located at 1st Floor, Duston Community Centre, Pendle Road, Duston, Northampton NN5 6DT. Our email for resident queries is office@duston-pc.gov.uk

Parish Councillors are democratically elected. Local residents put themselves forward as candidates in an election. The next Parish Council election is due on 3rd May 2029. Parish Council elections are run by Electoral Services at West Northamptonshire Council.
There are 12 Parish Councillors in total. Six represent Old Duston ward, 2 represent New Duston East ward and 4 represent New Duston West ward.

About Us
Our mission is "Serving the community of Duston". The number of voters is 12,679 who are entitled to vote in the Parish Council election whereas 11,927 is the number who can vote in a general election (as of June 2024).
A parish council is a local authority that makes decisions on behalf of the people in the parish. It is the level of local government closest to the community. They have few duties but a number of powers. A Parish council, for instance, can directly run local facilities such as leisure centres, theatres, manage parks and establish bylaws. Duston is surrounded by other neighbouring parish councils. North of Harlestone Road and east of Bants Lane is Northampton Town Council. To the east of Sandy Lane is Harleston Manor Parish Council and Harpole Parish Council. The community of St Crispin on the south side of the Berrywood Road is Upton Parish Council.
