The Household Support Fund will continue in West Northamptonshire over the next financial year, providing crucial financial assistance to vulnerable households.

New hours at recycling centres
Recycling centres will be open seven days a week across West Northants from 1 April.

Time to renew your garden waste subscription
Residents across West Northamptonshire can now sign up for optional, chargeable garden waste collections from April 2025.
The annual subscription charge for the fortnightly service from April 2025 to the end of March 2026 is £60 per bin and can be made online at www.westnorthants.gov.uk/ gardenwaste

E-Scooters on Timken
Residents have raised concerns about the use of e-scooters and e-bikes in the Timken Estate. Riders often travel from Sixfields through the Timken Estate to access other parts of Duston. In response to these concerns, there was a request to install staggered gates on some of the footpaths to slow down the e-scooters.

Old Sandy Lane / Weggs Farm Road Junction
Duston Parish Council has responded to local residents' concerns about cars speeding along Old Sandy Lane and overshooting the junction onto Weggs Farm Road. There have been instances where speeding vehicles have ended up on the opposite side of the road, posing a danger to pedestrians and cyclists.
