Bleed Kits & Defibrillators
To access a public defibrillator or bleed control kit, you will need to call 999 or 112
If you want to familiarise yourself as to where your nearest one is you can locate them using online resources like Defib Finder or The Circuit. Being as precise as you can with your location is very important when using these services, as they will only show the 10 nearest defibrillators. A good example of this importance would be on Main Road in Duston, where the top end of the road is served by 10 completely separate defibrillators to the bottom end.
All defibs and bleed kits are in LOCKED cabinets, and if you need to access one you will only be given access by the emergency services. So in any case, please dial 999 immediately.
Important Considerations:
- No official centralised database: While organisations like The Circuit are working to map defibrillators, there isn't a single official registry of all public access defibrillators.

- Awareness is key: Knowing how to access and use a defibrillator or bleed kit can be crucial in saving a life.

- Emergency Services: Emergency services have access to the defibrillator locations and will advise if you need to access one and guide you through the process.
