Dear resident,
Today, Get Safe Online has launched a new scam detection tool on their website.
If you are suspicious of a text, email or message and you want to check if it is legit or not before responding, you can upload it to Ask Silver on the Get Safe Online website and whereupon it will return an indication of whether the communication is safe or a 'red flag' for fraud.

We are seeing a rise in scams relating to the payment of the Winter Fuel Allowance. This doesn't need to be applied for and is received automatically if you are eligible. Please do not act on or reply to texts or emails telling you how to apply.
They will often contain strange contact numbers such as 6309461614764 or web links.

Fire Service urges residents to remain vigilant during hot weather - and avoid risk of starting fires
With the weather set to top 25 degrees or more over the next few days in Northamptonshire – the Fire Service is reminding residents to remain vigilant as the risk of fire increases.
