Parish Council Services
Duston Parish Council operates both Duston Community Centre and St Luke's Centre. There are a combination of room hire for the general public and commercial tenants. They are both managed directly by Parish Council staff.
Duston Parish Council owns the freehold of Duston Sports Centre and field. This operated by NLT (Trilogy) on our behalf.
Duston Parish Council organises various events and initiatives throughout the year such as Duston Fun Day, Indoor Car Boot Sales and the Christmas Market at St Luke's Centre.
Duston Parish Council has two Speed Activated Signs that are moved around the parish reminding motorists of their speed.
Duston Parish Council has three community defibrillators (Chiltern Avenue, Weggs Farm Road, Harlestone Road). There is also a defibrillator at St Luke's Centre.
Duston Parish Council owns Errington Park, Mendip Park, Grafton Way and Melbourne Lane Open Space. These are currently maintained by West Northamptonshire Council on our behalf.
Duston Parish Council owns the Public Open Space adjacent to Telstar Way. This is currently maintained by the developer.
Duston Parish Council has seven litter bins which we pay West Northamptonshire Council to empty. These bins are situated at 1) Main Road / Eastfield Road junction 2) Wrenbury Road 3) Quarry Road Bus Stop 4) Open between Westbury Close and Bants Lane 5) Main Road / Ryland Road junction 6) Open Space between Brockwood Close & Velocette Way 7) Outside Duston Library
Duston Parish Council have two flag poles. One located at St Luke's Centre and other at the local Library.
Duston Parish Council owns and maintains much street furniture such as commemorative benches. There are 8 noticeboards around the parish.
Duston Parish Council owns and maintains the Timken Artwork (on Main Road / Tollgate Way), Timken Gates (Main Road) and Rose Villa Hut (Rose Villa Close).
Duston Parish Council currently maintains through a contractor St Luke's Field, strip of land in Timken Way North, Tesla Close and Watson Close and Errington Park Play Area.
Duston Parish Council maintains some of the play equipment in various park in Duston. We own and maintains the gym equipment in St Luke's Field and Errington Park.
Through another contractor we maintain the Timken Artwork adjacent bulb planting, the Rose Garden (along Main Road) and the landscaping on Eastfield Road & Main Road junction.
Duston Parish Council has various planters throughout the parish and provides and maintains hanging flower baskets along Main Road.
Duston Parish Council doesn't own the War Memorial but we are allowed in law to maintain and look after it - War Memorials (Local Authorities' Powers) Act 1923.
Duston Parish Council has a Neighbourhood Plan to help guide local planning decisions from 2015 to 2029.

The Grow Together Allotment
Duston Parish Council has a allotment which is overseen by a member of staff. Members of the community can volunteer and be part of the project.

Other Local Services
Duston Cemetery and Allotments (Berrywood Road and Bants Lane) are owned and maintained by West Northamptonshire Council.
Street lights on the public highway are owned and maintained by West Northamptonshire Council.
Duston Library is owned and maintained by West Northamptonshire Council.
