PC Tarnia Slater and PCSO's Naomi Coote and Sam Dyson will be holding a Knife Amnesty / Street Surgery in Wellingborough Rd, Northampton (Opposite Tesco Express, between Ardington Rd and Christchurch Rd) from 11.00 am to 12.30 pm on Sunday 12 January.

Following concerns from a member of the public, they will also have the 'Knife Amnesty Bin' with them and would encourage residents to put any unwanted knives in the bin for safe disposal.

PC Tarnia Slater said, "Knives can cause immeasurable harm to the victims and their families and we encourage everyone to take this opportunity to hand over any knives that are not wanted or needed in the home".

This is also an opportunity for you to come and speak to your Neighbourhoods officers about issues or concerns you may have within your local area.
