Electoral wards review for West Northamptonshire Council

The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGCBE) is currently reviewing the electoral wards for West Northamptonshire Council. Part of the review is recommending that the total number of ward councillors is reduced from 93 to 76.

Limehurst Square Resurface

Duston Parish Council is asking for West Northamptonshire Council Highways to resurface Limehurst Square. Over the years the slabs have become uneven and protruding which is in part caused by the tree roots. This can make it unsafe for people with visual and motor impairments.

Special Expenses Charge

People ask us what the "special expenses charge" is on their Council Tax bill. The previous Northampton Borough Council introduced this some years ago. It is now charged by West Northamptonshire Council for grass cutting of parks, open spaces and the cemetery.

Duston Parish Council Signs Armed Forces Covenant

Duston Parish Council has joined with other organisations such as Northamptonshire Police, West Northamptonshire Council, the NHS and proudly signed a Armed Forces Covenant.

The Covenant was signed by Chair Paul Enright-King and Clerk Gary Youens on behalf of Duston Parish Council. It was formally signed at the Parish Council meeting on 2nd March 2023.
