Duston Parish Council are pleased to announce that we will be participating in East Midlands in Bloom. East Midlands in Bloom is one of 15 regions that comprise Britain in Bloom and covers Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland. It has been running for over 37 years.

The competition focuses on the three RHS core pillars of excellence which are:

•Horticultural Achievement

•Environmental Responsibility

•Community Participation

It has a dedicated team of experienced committee members and judges most of who are horticulturally qualified plus members of the RHS who give their time voluntarily for advice to entrants and judging."

This year Duston will be judged on 14 Jul 2016

Creating new planters at St Luke's Centre

9 Hopping Hill Primary School Year 3 Students took part in planting tubs for Duston in Bloom, the entire year 3 class then took part in a colouring competition of what Bloom meant to them.

The winner Skye Lucas was picked on Thursday 14th July by the Bloom Judges.
